What a turn out. I'm not really sure what I expected out of this event, but I had a really good time. We got there around 2pm. Since we had the bikes, we were able to park right at the front. Rocio had lost her ID and her Birth Certificate was being used to validate her Passport, so we were not sure if they would let her in, but they did. The lines weren't bad, we went straight to the beer garden. Corey and Rocio got some drinks, but it was still early and drinks were pretty pricy ($6 for a beer/ $9 for a watered down margarita). At the VAVI booth, Rocio and I entered in a water balloon contest. We did pretty good, but Rocio hit her elbow on the last round causing the balloon to pop. I guess technically we came in third. After that we played cornhole while waiting in line for human foosball. The human foosball was really fun, Rocio and I were the forwards, Corey was our goalie. The game was first to 3. I scored the first two and then Corey, our goalie, scored the last one. Shutout 3-0. While walking out, we discovered the VIP section. We went to grab some drinks and sit down on the couches. The lines were getting longer so I decided to get two drinks. We sat in the VIP lounge area and drank our drinks, I was starting to get a buzz. Matisyahu would be coming on stage in a little bit so we decided to go up to the front. Everybody was smoking weed, but I guess it is expected at a Reggae concert. Rocio got us some more drinks. At this point, I really had to pee, but the lines were long and I didn't want to loose my spot, so I decided to just pee right where I was. I don't think anyone even noticed. The VIP stage wasn't close enough for me. I finished my drink and decided to hop the fence into the other stage. Rocio, Corey and I got right up front. The show was pretty awesome, I didn't realize how many songs of his that I liked. Rocio had to use the restroom so she dipped out a little early. Corey and I stayed to finish the show. Right as Matisyahu went off stage, everyone was yelling "Encore!" He had to do, he came back out and was about to do some beat boxing. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but he stopped and went back off stage. I think they pulled the power or something. Pretty disappointing ending, but over all a good time. After the show we head to Lemon Grove to get some pizza. The pizza was alright, found a place called Lido's Italian Food. I texted Xavier and he met up with us at Dirk's for the "Halloween in May" event. Rocio and I did some dancing, but were not feeling the crowd. She said she was pretty tired too. We head home and passed out.
