I'm trying to be more social. Get out, meet people, make some new friends. So I'm trying to join every club that I can. It started out with a 3 mile run at Fashion Valley Nike Store. They have a Run Club that does a Run for Fun Event every Wednesday at 6pm. I was one of the only ones that did the 3 mile, everyone else did the 5 mile. The people seemed pretty cool. I'll probably stick with it, I need to get back in shape, summer is coming soon ;) My next stop was Redwing in Northpark. What better place to go after a 3 mile run than to a bar. Palm beers were a dollar each. I get in, having never been there before. Everyone is staring at me, maybe it was the motorcycle gear? People start saying "hi" and asking me questions, but I went straight to the back for a beer. Lots of people. The bartender is not wearing a shirt. I'm very suspicious about this place, so I looked up the reviews on the Yelp iPhone app. Its a gay bar. Right as I realize it I get approached by some guy wanting to take my picture. Another couple wants to play pool with me. I played one round of pool and finished my beer, but it was a little too friendly for me. CityBeat really should have mentioned that this was a gay bar. I'm still looking for more clubs to join, if you have any suggestions, feel free to shoot them my way.
